Tony Haaf

January 14, 1981 — May 24, 2022

On May 24th 2022 Tony Haaf left us all behind to go and meet his maker. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Irene (O’Connor) Haaf and maternal grandparents Raymond and Myrtle (Miller) Euton as well as his stepfather Greg Stanley.

Tony was a graduate of Clay High School and Scioto County Joint Vocational School, a proud member of Local #437 Carpenter Union, and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Tony loved to laugh and make others laugh along with him and was an amateur impressionist. He loved the outdoors, playing sports and music, collecting baseball cards and working on his house. He loved being with his family and friends, loved kids, and never met a stranger.

Most who knew Tony were aware of his struggles with alcohol and drug addiction as well as his resilience.  He would want you to know that by the grace of God, Narcotics Anonymous, and the Port 45 treatment center he was finally able to live his life free of the obsession for nearly the last two years. Recovery gave Tony the life he was always seeking, and those who loved him the opportunity to spend time with the person he truly was.

Tony leaves behind so many that love him, including his mother and stepfather Robin and Ed Walker of Greensboro, North Carolina, his father and stepmother Joe and Kay Haaf of Roper, North Carolina, sister Mindy of Portsmouth, brother Ben and Audra Haaf of Portsmouth, nieces Ellie Albrecht and Harper Haaf, nephews Jacob Haaf-Murphy and Connor Haaf; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday May 29th at Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville.

Friends and Family are invited to visit at Brant’s from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday.
