John D. Rollins II, 69, of Wheelersburg, died Thursday, May 26, 2022, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Born on December 1, 1952 in Tawas City, MI, he was a son of the late John and Betty Porter Rollins. John was a retired respiratory therapist from SOMC and later retired as a firefighter at the A-Plant.
John was a graduate of East High School and proud Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Also preceding him in death were his wife, Becky Wilson Rollins, a brother, Jess Rollins and a step-daughter, Missy Lewis.
Surviving are two sons, Andrew (Christina) Rollins of Wheelersburg and John (Stephanie) Rollins III; a brother, Mark Rollins of Wheelersburg; a sister, Nancy Rollins of Sciotoville; five grandchildren, Kate, Nicole, Breana, Dalton and Elexus and his “better half” of 18 years, his companion, Elsie Lewis and her family, son, Tim (Gloria), daughter, Kim (Rob), grandkids, Jacob, Brittany, Justin, Caden and Jeric; and great-grandkids, Jaelen, Zelda, Jacksyn, Jason, Addie and Elex.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE.
