William F. Warner, 82, of Sciotoville, died Friday, January 20, 2017, at the SOMC Hospice Center. Born on January 11, 1935 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Homer F. Warner and Alma “Louise” Hardy Warner.
Bill was a proud retired military veteran, having served in the both the Army and Air Force with over 23 years of service.
Also preceding him in death were his wife, Shirley Stiltner Warner and a daughter, Katherine Warner.
Surviving are three daughters, Pamela (Theodore) Fetty of Portsmouth, Sandra (Clyde) Campton of Hillsboro and Carol (Benjamin) Cox of Hamilton; a brother, Michael (Karen) Warner of Wheelersburg; a sister, Connie (Mike) Young of Wheelersburg; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson.
Military honors will be rendered at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 24th, by the James Irwin Post #622 and William Baker Post #363 of the American Legion at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive guests at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
The flags on the avenue will fly in honor of this brave Army and Air Force veteran, William Warner.
