Wayne Robert Workman

Wayne Robert Workman, 81, went to be with his Savior on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center.  Born on May 11, 1943, in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late James Bascom Workman and Thelma Watts Workman and was a retired supervisor for the New Boston Coke Plant.

A 1963 graduate of East High School, Bob was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church in Wheelersburg.  He was a sales representative for Berkley\TriLene for over 30 years and was an avid fisherman.  Being a school board member of the Sciotoville Community Schools for over 20 years, Bob especially was proud of the current construction of the Sciotoville Academy.  

Also preceding him in death were a son, Steven Robert Workman, and a brother, James Donald Workman.  

Surviving is his wife, Donna Humphrey Workman, whom he met in typing class at East, a son, Brian Allen Workman of Cleveland, a daughter-in-law, Missy Workman of Minford, a grandson, Chasetin Workman and granddaughter, Brittney Snook.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20th, at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Bryan White officiating.   Interment will be Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive guests at the church from Noon until 2:00 p.m. on Monday.

Memorial contribution may be made to Faith Baptist Church. 

Arrangements are under the direction of the BRANT FUNERAL SERVICE IN SCIOTOVILLE.
