Walter Shonkwiler

Walter David Shonkwiler, 87, of Wheelersburg, died Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Best Care Convalescent Center in Wheelersburg.  Born on June 25, 1934 in Sciotoville, he was a son of the late Eugene and Alafair Whitley Shonkwiler and was an independent truck driver.

Also preceding Walt in death was a brother, Richard Keith Shonkwiler.

Surviving are two sisters, Willa (Art) Marion of Sciotoville and Linda Howard of Sciotoville; a sister-in-law, Patty Shonkwiler of Minford and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1st, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Mike Simpson officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive guests at Brant’s after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

Walter’s family requests that masks be worn.
