Thomas Ray Selbee

February 13, 1936 — January 10, 2024

Wheelersburg

Thomas R. Selbee, 87, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, in Riverside Hospital in Columbus.  Born on February 13,1936 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Fred and Nancy Conley Selbee.

Tom was a well-known businessman in Sciotoville, Chillicothe and Marion and was owner of the Scioto Shoe Marts.  An important part of his life was his church-Unity Full Gospel Fellowship in New Boston.

Also preceding him in death was a brother, Marvin Selbee and three sisters, Janie Selbee, Lillian Purdue, and Barbara Meenach.

Surviving is his loving wife, Dolores Williams Selbee, a son, Scot (Cheryl) Selbee of Chillicothe, two daughters, Shannon Stark of Marion, and Sheila (Scott) Evans of Wheelersburg; a sister, Betty (Paul) Jackson of Columbus; seven grandchildren, Heather (Bryan) Cox, Shane (Jordan) Selbee, Katlyn (Andrew)Rowland, Jeremy (Gretchen) Stark, Justin ((Ericka) Stark, Jessica (Ryan) McGraw and Arron Evans and ten great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 15th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE WITH Pastor Bryan Davis officiating.  Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.

The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.
