Tamara Sue Sweeney

Tamara Sue Sweeney, 65, died Friday, November 18, 2022, in the SOMC Hospice Center.  Born on September 23, 1957 in Ironton, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Betty Johnson Taylor.

Tamara was proud of first becoming an LPN and furthered her education to become a Registered Nurse, retiring from the Southern Ohio Medical Center with over 40 years of dedicated service.

Tamara was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Ariya Crace.

Surviving are her husband, Franklin Ray Sweeney, a daughter with whom she resided, Tara (Fred) Jordan; two stepsons, Christian (Sherrie) Sweeney and Sean Sweeney; three sisters, Dawn Taylor, Jan Knipp and Jeana Wigglesworth; three grandchildren, Savannah, Delaney and Taylor and three great-grandchildren, Adelynn, Keegan and Alayna.

A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21^st, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME with Wayne Sweeney officiating.  Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery.

The family will receive guests at Brants from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
