Steve Loop
April 28, 1949 — October 15, 2014
Monte Steve Loop, Sr., 65, of Sciotoville, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center. Born on April 28, 1949 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Elton and Elnora Kitchen Loop. Steve was retired from the City of Portsmouth.
Also preceding him in death were his wife, Sharon Hatten, and a son, Monte Steve Loop, Jr.
Surviving are a son, J. R. (Angel) Loop of Sciotoville; two sisters, Madonna Adkins of Wheelersburg and Sharon Cooper of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren, Austin (Ashley), Ariel, Alex, Alexis, Michael, Tara and Tyler; a great-grandson, Avery, and soon-to-be great-grandson, Aridan.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE. Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery.
The family will receive guests after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
