Sis Castle

Margaret S. Castle, 86, of Sciotoville, died on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at the SOMC Hospice House. Born on September 7, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Bertha Feirl Hood, and was a clerk at the former Sciotoville Kroger Store. Sis was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Ben Castle, and five brothers, Willard, Louis, Joe, Raymond and Don Hood. Sis is survived by two sons, Tom (Ruth Ann) Castle of Indianapolis, Ind. and David (Amy) Castle of Portsmouth, a sister, Frankie Hood of Ormond Beach, Fla., four grandchildren, Tabetha Webster, Amy Webster, Eric (Nikki) Castle and Adam Weaver, and two great-grandchildren, Thomas and Haleigh. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Caleb LaFond and Rev. Richard North officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville from 3 until 7 p.m. on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the SOMC Hospice and Christ United Methodist Church.
