Shirlie Williams

Shirlie I. Hicks Williams, 78, of New Boston, died Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Crystal Care Center in Franklin Furnace. Born on September 24, 1938 in Brushy, KY, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ina Lora Kiebler Hicks. Shirlie was a beautician and a member of the First Apostolic Church.
Surviving are four sons, Kenton Staten of New Boston, A. Mark (Sherry) Darby of Minford, Todd Williams of Minford and Chris Williams of Columbus; two brothers, Stanley Hicks and Lonnie Hicks, both of Springfield; four grandchildren, Kyle Darby, Kendra Staten, Emilie (Josh) Ruby and Zane Williams; and five great-grandchildren, Gracie Ruby, Cole Darby, Rowan Darby, Jaina Ruby and Jaxon Ruby.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Rev. Donald Hammond officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive guests from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
