Shirley Vestal

Shirley D. Vestal , 66, of Franklin Furnace, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.  Born on September 17, 1947 in Bennettsville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Doris Taylor Springs and was a private duty nursing assistant.  Survivors include her husband, Ray Vestal, a son, Ray (Crystal) Vestal, Jr., a daughter, Angela (Jason) Compton, a brother, Yancy Springs, four sisters, Phyllis Buffington, Jessie Springs, Kathy Springs, and Bertha Springs, five grandchildren, Tommy, Chris, Zach, Andrea, and Stephanie, and a great-grandson, Devin.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Tommy Vestal.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Doug Willis officiating.  Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park.  The family will receive friends at Brant’s from Noon until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Wish Foundation.  To offer condolences visit www.brantfuneralservice.com.
