Ryan S. Carver, 50, of Sciotoville, died Thursday, September 14, 2023, in his home surrounded by his loving family.  Born on April 30, 1973, in Portsmouth, he was a son of Robert Carver and the late Shirley Ann Maynard Carver.  Ryan was a former member of the carpenters union.  He attended Highland Bend Christian Baptist Church, was a member of the James Dickey Post #23 of the American Legion and loved being outdoors, especially fishing.

Ryan proudly served in the United State Marine Corps.

Also surviving are his wife, Jennifer Buffington Carver, children, Robbie (Hayle) Carver, Thomas Carver, Megan Carver, Brandon Walter Blizzard, and Terryann Marie Blizzard, sisters, Bobbi Jo Brown, Kelli (John) Welton and Katie Carver, and father-in-law, Terry Buffington.

A service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23rd at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME SCIOTOVILLE.

The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Military honors will be conducted by the James Dickey Post.

The American flags will fly on the avenue, along with the flag of the United States Marine Corps, in honor of our proud veteran, Ryan Carver.
