Ruth Lodwick

Ruth I. Lodwick, 94, of Portsmouth, died peacefully Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the SOMC Hospice Center with her family by her bedside. Born on April 15, 1923 in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Ethel Schaffer and was a member of Waits Baptist Church.
Also preceding Ruth in death were her husband, Paul Lodwick, Jr., a son, David Floyd Lodwick, a daughter, Paula Jean Lodwick, a brother, Bill Schaffer and three sisters, Frances Young, Katherine Lee and Virginia Schaffer.
Surviving are a son, Dan (Rose) Lodwick of Wheelersburg, three grandchildren, Brian Lodwick, Dionne (David) Miller and Heather (Dean) Robinson and seven great-grandchildren, Nathan Miller, Skyler Miller, Eli (Rachael) Miller, Travis Miller, Hannah Robinson, Isaac Robinson and Samuel Robinson.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 23rd, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Dave Frazie and Pastor Dean Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s after 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
