Ruth Ann Evans, 84, of Wheelersburg, died Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Hill View Health Care. Born on August 26, 1932 in New Boston, she was a daughter of the late John and Garnet Seth Hoover and was co-owner of the former Evans-Knost Floral Company.
Ruth Ann was a graduate of Glenwood High School and member of its alumni association and was a faithful member of Grace Community Church at Bigelow.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, Robert Evans and a sister, Joy Thomas.
Surviving are a son, Robert (Bridgette) Evans of Ashville; two daughters, Kristi Walker of Gove City and Terra (Rick) Warner of Wheelersburg; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Warner, Abby Dickerson, Katie Pekkala, Emily Evans, Megan Evans, Abby Evans and Sophie Evans and five great-grandchildren, Audrey, Hayden, Mason and Grant Warner and Samuel Dickerson; and a special niece, Debbie Page of Sciotoville.
A Celebration of Ruth’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Grace Community Church at Bigelow with Pastor Gary Chaffins and Pastor Kevin Hay officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive guests at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and at the church one hour prior to the service.
