Ronald L. Riepenhoff, 78, died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, December 8, 2023, in his home. Born on December 2, 1945, in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Carl and Rosella Metzler Riepenhoff and was the owner/operator of Shawnee Art and Hobby Supplies in Portsmouth.
A member of Wheelersburg Methodist Church, he was active in the church choir. Ron was formerly employed at Portsmouth Paint, Pittsburgh Paint and Market Street Hardware. He was very involved with Riepenhoff family history and was a genealogy buff.
Surviving is his wife of 49 years, Janet Dille Riepenhoff, two sons, Rodney (Angela) Riepenhoff of Wolfe City, TX and Brian (Amy Mitchell) Riepenhoff of Sciotoville; a daughter, Vanessa Fowler of Sciotoville; a brother, Larry (Rita) Riepenhoff of Wheelersburg; five grandchildren, Miranda, Riley, Brady, Cooper and Xavier and a great-granddaughter, Quinn.
A Celebration of Ron’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Rev. Perry Prosch officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
