Richard Fritz

Richard D. Fritz, 68, of Wheelersburg, died Saturday morning, January 22, 2022, in the SOMC Hospice Center.  Born on October 7, 1953 in Portsmouth, he was a son of  the late Cornell and Cora Allene Eckhart Fritz.

Richard was a former emergency medical technician for Porter township, being one the first team when it was started.  He was a member of the Oldsmobile Club of America and a funeral assistant at several funeral homes.

Surviving are his wife Gladys Belcher Fritz, brother-in-law, Tom Secrest; nephews Jonathan Secrest and Joe Secrest; several additional nephews and nieces and of course, his cat Gismo.

A service will be announced at a later date.

Gladys wishes a public THANK YOU to the women and men of the Porter EMS and Porter Fire Department for their many, many times they responded for Richard.
