Rebecca Johnson

Rebecca Ann Johnson, 55, died suddenly on Monday, August 21, 2023, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center after an apparent heart attack. Born on April 4, 1968, in Akron, she was a daughter of the late William and Rose Newman Spence.

Becky was employed in quality control at Kirchhoff Automotive in Waverly.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Spence.

Surviving are her husband, Walter Johnson, her mother, Rose Dawson of Navaree; a son, Walter Richard Johnson III of Portsmouth; a stepson, Jerome Knight of Portsmouth; a daughter, Beth Ann Johnson of Lucasville; a brother, Claude (Jamie) Newman of Portsmouth; two sisters, Raeleen (Ray) Brown of Lima and Kathy (Timmy) Bassel of Ironton and five grandchildren.

A service will be held on Thursday, August 24^th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Darrell Musick officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive guests at Brant’s after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
