Ray Burchett

Ray J. Burchett, 87, of Quincy, Kentucky, died Sunday, May 13, 2018, at the SOMC Hospice Center.  Born on June 24, 1930 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Emory and Elizabeth Burchett and was a retired tool and dye maker with the United States Government.

Ray was a graduate of Glenwood High School, a 32nd degree mason and a member of Pine Valley Christian Church in Tollesboro, KY.

Also preceding him in death were his wife, Mabel Burchett, and a brother, Harold Burchett.

Surviving are two nephews, Jeffrey (Claudia) Burchett of Lucasville and Rick Burchett of West Portsmouth.

A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Phil Cooper officiating.  Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive guests at Brant’s after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.  Memorial gifts may be made to Pine Valley Christian Church or SOMC Hospice.
