Ralph Whisman

Ralph “Ed” Whisman, 62, formerly of West Portsmouth, died on Saturday, September 29, 2012, in the Southern Ohio Medical Center emergency room. Born May 3, 1950 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late James and Dorothy Smith Whisman, and attended the Welcome Home Christian Fellowship Church in Lucasville. Surviving are a son, James Liles of Portsmouth, two daughters, Kimberly Phillips and Angela Seiler, both of Portsmouth, four brothers, Raymond Whisman of Lancaster, and Wayne, Fred and Gerald Whisman, all of Columbus, three sisters, Linda Colegrove of Waverly, and Reda Kay Whisman and Alice Weaver, both of Powellsville, 8 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Tim Bennett officiating.
