Nola Cross

Nola Marie Cross, 87, of Crystal River, FL, died Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Cypress Cove Care Center in Crystal River. Born on June 25, 1924 in Carter, KY, she was a daughter of the late Hiram and Jane Smith Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Willie, Bussie, Herman, and John Lewis, sisters, Jessie Lee and Imogene McGee, and grandson, James Jayson Cross. Mrs. Cross is survived by her husband of 70 years, Robert W. Cross, her four sons, Robert (Susanne) W. Cross, Jr., Gary (Linda) J. Cross, James (Dee) E. Cross, Esq., and Edward (Lisa) L. Cross, grandchildren, Robin (Greg) Carlin, Dr. Scott (Charmel) J. Cross, Angie M. Cross, Brandy C. Cross, Molly (Jason) Burnside, Dr. Brian (Svetlena) J. Cross, Dr. Emily S. Cross, Annie Cross, Ryan Cross, Kellen Cross, and Sam Cross, great-grandchildren, Megan Ramey, Jordin Cross, Zachary Cross, Kyle Cross, Zoe Cross, Marcus Cross, Collin Burnside and Bridget Carlin. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN PORTSMOUTH. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Portsmouth from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
