Michael Shy

Michael Ray Shy, 66 of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the SOMC Hospice Center. Born March 6, 1945 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late William and Mabel Baldridge Shy and was a Marine veteran of the Viet Nam War. Surviving are his wife, Geneva Roe Shy, a daughter, Deborah (James) Sheppherd of Portsmouth, 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN PORTSMOUTH with Barbara Payne, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Portsmouth after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
