Michael Monroe Schiltz

Michael M. Schiltz, 59, died on Friday, November 24, 2023, at his home.  Born on December 16, 1963, in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Fredrick Paul and Joyce Ann Duncan Schiltz and was an Army veteran.

Also preceding him in death were a son, Michael Paul Schiltz, and a sister, Diana Lanthorn.

Michael was a 1982 graduate of Portsmouth High School.

Surviving are a daughter, Hali (Sam) Stanyon of Columbia, SC; a son, Timothy Schiltz of Columbus; a brother, David Schiltz of Columbia, SC; twin granddaughters, Aspen Stanyon and Aurora Stanyon and recently born grandson Luke Stanyon.

A service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13^th at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Kenny Potter officiating.  Interment will be in Worley's Run Cemetery, Friendship, Ohio, with military honors by the James Dickey Post #23 of the American Legion.

The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13.  The American flags, along with the U.S. Army flag, will fly on the avenue in honor of our veteran Michael Schiltz.
