Maxine Ellifritt Mun, 93, of Wheelersburg, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the SOMC Hospice Center. Born on June 13, 1932, in Londonderry, she was a loved and respected wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and was a daughter of the late Shirley and Gladys (Borland) Ellifritt.
She grew up in Richmondale and Sciotoville. A graduate of East High School, she was married to Robert “Bob” Munn on July 22, 1950, in Portsmouth, who preceded her in death.
Maxine was a Girl Scout leader and formerly employed by Big Bear/Harts. A longtime member of Minford Garden Clubs, she held numerous positions n the district and state levels, including most proud of Regional Director of the Southern Ohio Garden Clubs.
Maxine and Bob were faithful members of Dogwood Ridge First Church of Christ in Wheelersburg.
Surviving are a daughter, Pamela (Dean) Rowe of Grove City, a son, David (Cindy) Munn of Portsmouth, seven grandchildren Joshawa (Jennifer) Rowe, Jessica (Joe) Dimel, Kimberley and (Liz) Rowe, Stefany McGlone, Becky (Buddy) Ratliff, Rob (Katelyn) Munn and Andrea (John) Miller and seventeen great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Maxine’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3rd, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Rev. Sam Cooke officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
