Mary Catherine Martin

Mary Catherine Martin, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the SOMC Hospice Center. She was born on July 27, 1944, in Rittman, daughter of the late Charles and Bonnie Greene Monroe.

Mary enjoyed attending the 3:16 Ministries Church and spending time with her family. She was someone who took care of the people around her and always made time for those she loved. She was deeply loved by her family and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Martin; two sisters, Wanda Dodds and Shirley Belcher; two brothers, Walt Monroe and Carlos Monroe; and her great-granddaughter, Ivy Mae Stevens.

She is survived are her daughter, Cathy (Scott) Stevens; grandchildren, Cassie Lowe and Corey (Alison) Stevens; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Hattie and Brooklyn; three brothers, Charles (Karen) Monroe, Jr., Richard (Yong) Monrore and Edward Monroe and two sisters, Beverly (Roy) Mullins and Cheryl (Tim) Feeman and several nieces and nephews.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Mark Bales officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive guests at BRANT’S from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
