October 22, 1944 — June 5, 2014
Lynn Redfearn Skeans, 69, of Taylor, Michigan, formerly of Portsmouth, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, at St. Vincent Trauma Center in Toledo as the result of a traffic accident. Born on October 22, 1944 in England, he was a son of the late Leo and Yvonne Skeans. Lynn was a 1962 graduate of Portsmouth High School and retired from Ford Motor Company in Michigan with 40 years of service.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Bonita “Bonnie” Wolfe Skeans; four children, Michael (Renee) Skeans of SC, and Susan (Billy) Olson, Sheri (Terry) Harper and Chad (Tina) Skeans, all of Michigan, six grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Also surviving are two brothers, Keith (Jacque) Skeans of Portsmouth and Gary (Debbie) Skeans of Wheelersburg, and a sister, Elaine Jarrells of South Shore, KY.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Brian Baer officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Brant’s from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday and after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
