Lon K. Hempill , Jr., 50, of Wheelersburg, died Friday, October 4, 2013, at the SOMC Hospice Center. Born on January 17, 1963, he was a son of Lon Keith Hempill, Sr. and Beatrice Wright Hempill and was of the Baptist faith. Preceding him in death was his father, Lon Hempill Sr. and a brother, James Randall Hempill. Surviving are his mother, Beatrice Wright Hempill, and stepfather, Ron Penix, both of Portsmouth, two brothers, Brian Hempill of Wheelersburg and Barry Hempill of Pinehurst, NC and a nephew, Tommy Hempill of Pinehurst, NC. A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the Edgewood Abbey Mausoleum with Rev. Dave Frazie officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brant Funeral Service in Sciotoville.
