Larry W. White , 73, of Franklin Furnace, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, September 8, 2013, at the Community Hospice Center in Ashland, Ky.  Born on January 27, 1940 in Ross County, he was a son of the late Everett and Mary Frances Wilt White and attended the Plymouth Heights Church of the Nazarene in Franklin Furnace.  Larry was honored to be a medic during the Viet Nam War, having retired with 20 years of service.  His natural talent was working in his wood shop.  Also preceding him in death was a brother, Ralph White.  Surviving are his wife, Linda Sowards White, whom he married February 28, 1981, four daughters, Anita (Tim) Thompson of Mesa, AZ, Kathy Tripplett of Galion, Beth (Emilio) Malave of Tampa, Fla, and Jeanne (Donnie) Monteith of Franklin Furnace, two “sons”, Charley (Helen) Bocook of Catlettsburg, Ky. and David White of Troy, three brothers, Rodger (Carolyn) White of Cal., Rodney (Ruth) White and Jeff (Lisa) White, all of Chillicothe, two sisters, Esther (Lew) Beckwith of Wesley Chapel, Fla.  and Janie (Byll) McBride of Salt Lake City, Utah, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Plymouth Heights Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Andy Ramey and Pastor Frank Stidham officiating.  Military honors will be rendered by the James Dickey Post of the American Legion.  The family will receive friends at the church after 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101, or the American Cancer Society.  Arrangements are under the direction of the BRANT FUNERAL SERVICE IN SCIOTOVILLE.
