Kenneth Blake

Kenneth Ray Blake , age 76, of Sciotoville, went to be with his Lord on March 7, 2014.  Born on July 11, 1937 in Huntington, WV, he was a son of the late, Oscar and Ethel Vernatte Blake.  Kenneth was an Army veteran and a retired Carpenter from the Carpenter’s Local #437.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Phyllis Cooper Blake, two sons, Kenneth (Samantha) Blake II of Wheelersburg and Michael (Tina) Blake of Sciotoville, one daughter, Lisa (Scott) Jarvis of Portsmouth, 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, one great granddaughter due in April, and several nieces and nephews.

Also preceding him in death were four brothers, Clarence John Blake, Earl Blake, Robert Blake and Gary Blake.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Rick Arthur officiating.  Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors by the V.F.W. Post 363.  The family will receive friends at Brant’s from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Fisher House, 3200 Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH 45220.
