Julia A. Newman, 76, of Clarktown, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at her home. Born on November 8, 1934 in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Zelma Blume Curry. Julia was a 1952 graduate of Glenwood High School, a member of the Lucasville Eastern Star, and a retired supervisor for the Bureau of Employment Office. Surviving are her husband, Marvin Newman, one son, Jeffrey Donini of Lucasville, three grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Services will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville.
