Juanita Ruth Baker, 82, of Sciotoville, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, November 2, 2012 at her home. Born on March 20, 1930 in Scioto County, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Nettie Taylor Kidder and was a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in New Boston. Surviving are her husband of 67 years, James A. Baker, two sons, Ron (Priscilla) Baker I of Lucasville and Donald (Dorcy) Baker of Sciotoville, two daughters, Patricia A. (Jay) Saunders of West Carrollton and Tuana R. Scott of Portsmouth; two sisters, Thelma Patton of Cincinnati and Shirley Lacy of West Union; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with her son, Pastor Ron Baker, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville from 4 until 6 p.m. on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Lighthouse Church.
