Joseph Meb Creech, 87, of Lake Placid, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2026, with his family by his side. Born on February 27, 1939, he was the beloved son of the late Fulton and Essie Garnett Creech.
Joe dedicated his career as a skilled Ironworker, contributing significantly as a high steel worker. He attended the Faith Baptist Church in Lake Placid.
He was preceded in death by his four brothers, Carol, Ray, Roy, and Oakley Creech, and his five sisters, Clara Mae Mullins, Marie Turner, Ritter Sturgill, Gladys Coldwell Hitchcock, and Faye Roberts.
Joe is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Baer Creech; his four sons, Joseph (Missy) Creech, Robert (Ann) Brown, Roger (Vickie) Brown, and Richard Brown; and his four daughters, Teresa (Scott) Baker, Sandra (Darl) Spradlin, Kimberly (John) King and Kristina Pinkerman. He also leaves behind his brother, James Ebb (Faye) Creech; and his cherished grandchildren, including Robert “RJ” Brown, whom they raised. His legacy continues through his thirty-two grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Joe's Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville, with Pastor Gary Cunningham officiating. Interment will take place at Salsbury Cemetery.
Friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
