Jeffrey Lynn Danzer, 69, of Wheelersburg, went to be with his Lord on Monday, January 3, 2022, in Sebring, Florida. Born on April 10, 1952, in Dearborn, Michigan, he was the youngest son of the late Charles and Violet Barker Danzer.
Jeff graduated from Northwest High School in 1970, and was employed by the Scioto County Engineer.
On September 26, 2006, he was honored with the dedication of the new bridge on Dixon Mill Road given the name The Jeff Danzer Bridge for his devotion and years of service to the Scioto County Engineering Department. After many years as the Bridge Superintendent, he retired in January of 2015.
Jeff’s devotion and love for his family was endless.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon Sue Richey Danzer, whom he married on July 9, 1976; a son, Joseph David (Melissa) Danzer; a daughter, Missy (Greg Burns) Danzer; grandchildren, Josiah Miller Danzer and Ava Rose Burns; a brother, Chuck (Carol) Danzer, a sister, Barbara (Charles) Wagner; a brother-in-law, Darrel Lanthorn and a lifelong friend, Walt Johnson.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Sam Cooke officiating.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Memorial gifts made be made to SOMC Hospice or First Church of Christ in Wheelersburg.
Jeff’s family requires that masks be worn.
