Janet McClary Dyer, 60, of Portsmouth, died Friday, March 23, 2012, at the SOMC Hospice Center. Born January 4, 1952 in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Norma Carte McClary, and was a member of the Moose, Eagles, and American Legion. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Harold, Robert and Joe McClary. Surviving are a son, Harold Dyer of Portsmouth, a daughter, Staci Dyer (Jerome Hinson) of Portsmouth, two sisters, Carolyn Stockham of Spring, TX and Sherry (Beecher) Wright of Portsmouth, and 4 grandchildren, Jason, Emily, Brienna and Sierra. A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN PORSMOUTH with Rev. Peter Michael officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Portsmouth after 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Brant Funeral Service to assist in defraying funeral expenses
