Rosemount

James Donald Truman, 69, died Saturday evening at Rosemount Pavilion.  Born on March 22,1953 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late James and Ethel Loop Truman.

The first part of his working career was very hard work on riverboats, and then to be closer to his family, he began working on his rental properties.  Donnie was a good story teller and enjoyed singing funny songs to make people happier.  He was very big on family life.

Also preceding him in death were brothers, Curt, Bob, Ronnie and Gary Dean Truman and sisters, Carol Kornoff and Crystal Truman.

Surviving are three sons, Jason Truman of Eau Claire, MI, Justin Truman of Wabash, IN and Alex Truman of Wheelersburg; two daughters, Jessica Truman and Jewell Truman, both of Wabash; six sisters, Jean Hendrix of Johnson City, TN, Margie Campbell, Gail Stidham, and Kathy Parker, all of Portsmouth, Kay Whisman of Blue Creek and Sherry Blevins of Wheelersburg and five grandchildren, Jacob, Jonah, Jaden, Delaney and Journey Truman.  And of course, we cannot forget his dog and companion, Spooky.

A graveside service will be held at noon on Tuesday, December 13th, at McKendree Cemetery with John Thompson officiating.

The family will receive guests at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
