James “Bob” Cooper, Jr., 69, of New Boston, died Friday, October 22, 2010, at the SOMC Hospice House. Born June 6, 1941 in Sciotoville, he was a son of the late James R. Cooper, Sr. and Florence Pack Cooper. Surviving are his wife, Betty Crager Cooper; sons James R. Cooper III of Otway and Rallie Lane Cooper of Newport, KY; daughters Terri Lynn Hornsby of Newport and Donna Sue Dishon of Fla., a sister, Cynthia Bush of New Boston; 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Also preceding him in death were a brother & sister, Grover “Tom” Cooper and Lois Cooper. Bob will be very much missed by his little dog “Abby”. She was his friend. A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Glen Lewis officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville after 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
