Jack Lowell Bennett, 89, of Rolla, MO, died on Friday, January 29, 2016, at the Silverstone Nursing Center in Rolla. Born on July 8, 1926 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Howard and Mary Bunzey Bennett. Jack was a Navy veteran of World War II and also served in the Army and Air Force, was retired from the printing industry, and loved to fish and hunt.
Surviving are his wife, Geneva Schomburg Bennett of 65 years; a son, Ray (Karen) Bennett of Rolla, MO; a granddaughter, Kristy Bennett; a grandson, Ryan (Kate) Bennett; and a great-grandson, Raymond Bennett.
Also preceding Jack in death were three brothers, Bud Bennett, Bill Bennett and Dick Bennett; and a sister, Raenell Bennett.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Rev. Peter Michael officiating. Interment will be in Meade Cemetery with military honors by the James Dickey Post of the American Legion.
The family will receive guests from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
