Guy Cole

Guy W. Cole, 89, of Sciotoville, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center. Born on March 20, 1922 in Kenova, WV, he was a son of the late Floyd and Weatha Ogden Cole. Guy was a Marine veteran of WWII and was a member of the Sciotoville Christian Church and the James Dickey Post of the American Legion. He was also preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters. Surviving are his wife, Carol Greene Cole, a daughter, Patti Pollitt of Pickerington, a grandson, Douglas (Toni) Pollitt of Canal Winchester, a great-granddaughter, Ellie Ann Pollitt, a brother, Clifford Cole of Charlotte, NC, and a sister, Donna Porginski of Portsmouth. A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Rev. Peter Michael officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park with military honors by the James Dickey Post of the American Legion. The family will receive friends from Noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
