Gerald “Jerry” Webb, 66, of Portsmouth, formerly of Rosemount, died Saturday, April 4, 2015, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center. Born on April 8, 1948 in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Morton “Jack” Webb and Mary Hammond Webb, was a retired corrections officer for the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility and was a carpet layer for 27 years for Custom Carpet. Jerry was a former assistant fire chief for the Rosemount Fire Department, was a member of the Ohio Valley Firefighter’s Association, E.M.T. with Rosemount Squad #12, and a member of the S.O.C.F. Fire Department.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Shewbrooks.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Webb; three daughters, Carol (Stephen) Oiler of Portsmouth, Lisa (Darren) Oliver of Rosemount and Brenda (Edward) Stout of London; a brother, Rick (Linda) Webb of Rosemount; six grandchildren, Heather Blevins, Joshua Oiler, Drew Oliver, Caitlynn Eastham, Zachary Stiltner, and Brandon Stiltner and six great-grandchildren. Brayden, Mason, Mia, J.P., Cayden and Kaylee.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE. Interment will be in Rosemount Cemetery.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
