Gary Martin

Gary L. Martin, 76, of Wheelersburg, died Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at the SOMC Hospice Center with his family by his bedside.  Born on February 14, 1942 in Ironton, he was a son of the late John and Elizabeth Petry Martin and was a retired supervisor for Pepsi with 47 years of service.

Gary was a graduate of Clay High School, member of Western Sun Masonic Lodge #91 in Wheelersburg, and a proud Air Force veteran.

Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Donald Martin and Johnny Martin.

Surviving are his wife, Catherine Overholtzer Martin, a son, Kenny (Eva) Martin of New Boston and four granddaughters, Emily Martin, Natalie Martin, Ashley (Jordan) Swavel and Brittany (Kyle) Shaeffer.

A service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE.  Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park with military honors by the James Dickey Post of the American Legion.

The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

The flags on the avenue will fly in honor of proud Air Force veteran, Gary Martin, and the Air Force flag will fly singly at Brant’s.
