Frieda Payne

Frieda Pauline Payne , 85, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.  Born on May 20, 1927 in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late Oney Brown and Ruby Barrett Brown Nourse.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Raymond E. Payne.  Frieda was a graduate of Clay High School, a lifelong member of the Twin Valley Baptist Church and a retired kitchen manager of the Scioto County Joint Vocational School.  She is survived by two sons, Steven (Bobbie) Payne, Stuart (Anita) Payne, two grandsons, Robert (Jody) Payne, Nicholas (Victoria) Payne, a granddaughter, Tiffanie Payne and two great grandsons, Zachary and Gavin Payne all of Portsmouth.  A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Don Noel officiating.  The family will receive friends at BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Friday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Twin Valley Baptist Church.
