Freda Ross
January 19, 1928 — June 26, 2015
Freda May Ross, 87, formerly of Swauger Valley, died Friday, June 26, 2015, at the River Bend House in Wheelersburg. Born on Jan. 19, 1928, in South Shore, Ky., she was a daughter of the late James Royal and Francis Lykins Kammer. Freda was a former pastor in Chillicothe, Kentucky, and Portsmouth.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James C. Ross, Sr., a son, Terry A. Ross, a daughter, Judy Rhoden, a grandson, Terry Ross, Jr., a great-grandson, Dustin Treadway, one brother and four sisters.
Surviving are two sons, James C. Ross, Jr. of Lucasville and Chris Ross, two daughters, Patricia Darby of New Boston and Angela (Ron) Mercer of Wheelersburg, a sister, Dorothy Smith, four brothers, Cecil, Robert, Charles, and Tommy Kammer, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Rev. Kevin Gullion officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday.
