Evelyn Angela Galloway

Evelyn Angela (Angie) Galloway, 89, of New Boston, was called home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, August 16, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family who cherished her immensely.

Angie was born on January 3, 1936, to the late Thomas Jordan and Alice Rose Jordan Grimes in Wells Next the Sea, England. She grew up with her siblings Anthony Jordan, Thomas (Patricia) Jordan, and Sarah (David) Bojko. On March 27, 1958, Angie married her beloved husband, Donavon Galloway, with whom she shared 43 wonderful years. Together, they were blessed with six children: Jeremy Galloway, Kimberley (Doug) Keeney, Donna (Randy) Henry, Cathy Galloway, Thomas Galloway, and Donavon (Angie) Galloway. Angie cherished every moment of being a grandmother, and her family blessed her with 16 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Angie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donavon Galloway; her brother, Anthony Jordan; daughter, Cathy Galloway and her great granddaughter, Alexis Miller.

A devoted Christian, Angie was an active member of Families United for God and Country Church in Lucasville, OH. She enjoyed gatherings, helping with Vacation Bible School for the children, participating in community fundraisers, and most importantly, worshipping the Lord Jesus Christ. Angie treasured her friendships with everyone in the congregation, including her dearest friends, Minnie Carver, Betty Tackett, and Fred Payton.

A funeral service to honor her life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville with David Phipps officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather for a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are also invited to attend a gathering after the services at Families United for God and Country Church in Lucasville.
