Emma Inez Foster, 98, of Rosemount, died Friday, February 04, 2011, at the Golden Years Convalescent Center. Born June 28, 1912 in Adams County, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Ann Rogers Hayslip, was a nurse’s aide for 19 years at the former Mercy Hospital, and was a member of Candy Run Wesleyan Tabernacle. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Harvey Foster, a grandson, Mark Waters, 5 brothers and 7 sisters. Surviving are a son, Jesse W. Foster of Portsmouth, a daughter, Joyce Ann Waters of Palatka, Fla, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Grace Bloomfield and Gregory Cooper, ministers, officiating. Interment will be in Rosemount Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brant’s in Portsmouth 5-7 p.m. on Sunday.
