Eileen Dodds
October 2, 1931 — November 12, 2016
Eileen Kennard Dodds, 85, of Sciotoville, died Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the SOMC Hospice Center. Born on October 2, 1931 in New Boston, she was a daughter of the late John Thomas and Ollie Let Kennard. Eileen attended the Camp Bennett Christian Baptist Church and was a waitress at the Town House Restaurant for 36 years.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, Dale Dodds; a brother, Harold Kennard; a sister, Nannie Acks; four half- brothers, Fred Kennard, John Kennard, Robert Kennard and Garland Brisker; and two half-sisters, Myrtle Richardson and Lula Ellis.
Surviving are a stepson, Michael (Lea) Dodds of New York; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at Bennett Cemetery with Pastor Rick Mollett officiating. The family will receive guests at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
