Dorothy L. "Dottie" Donini, 50, of Fairfield, OH, formerly of Portsmouth and Albany, GA,
passed away Sunday July 3, 2011 at Hospice of Hamilton after a courageous battle with
cancer.
Dottie was born December 24, 1960 to Miriam J Donini and the late Louis M. Donini.
She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1978 and attended Shawnee State
Community College, now Shawnee State University. Dottie was very active in youth
group activities at St. Mary's Church until relocating to Albany, GA in 1991. She worked
for Dr. Michael Szpak and for Proctor & Gamble Co. in Albany until transferring" home" to Ohio in 2008, where she worked for P&G in Cincinnati as an Order Management Analyst.
In addition to her mother, Dottie is survived by five brothers, Patrick of Portsmouth, Joe
(Nancy) of W. Portsmouth, Tom (Peggy) of Brea, CA, Jerry (BJ) of Martinsville, and Tim
(Cathy) of Ft. Meyers, FL; two sisters, Kathi (Dave) Anderson of New Concord and Mimi
(Tom) Clausing of Portsmouth; 14 nieces and nephews, Joshua Donini, Tracy Stiles, Jesse
Donini, Justice Donini, Michael Anderson, Lindsay Anderson, Aaron Donini, Toni Scott,
Ryan Clausing, Laura Schultz, Drew Clausing, Kristen Clausing, Jordan Donini and
Bethany Donini; 15 great-nieces and nephews; special aunt, Margaret Ferrell; dear
friend, Sue Dallas, of Albany; aunt, Mary Lawther, many cousins, numerous friends and
her loving caregivers and volunteers at Hospice of Hamilton.
Dottie always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She will be missed by all who
were blessed to know her.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth where
visitation and prayer service will take place on Friday July 8 from 11:00am - 1:00pm
with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Church, Portsmouth, on Saturday
July 23, 2011 at 12:00 noon. Friends may call from 10:00am - 12 noon at the church. Per Dottie's instructions, a "celebration of her life" will be held at Holy Redeemer Activity Center immediately following the Mass.

The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of Hospice of Hamilton for their
loving care of Dottie during her illness. The family's favorite charities are Hospice of
Hamilton, SOMC Hospice, and Notre Dame Schools.
