Dewey Weaver

Dewey “Peanut” Weaver, 107, of Wheelersburg, died Sunday, October 17, 2010, at the SOMC Hospice House. Born December 12, 1902 in Christy Creek, KY, he was a son of Will and Julie Weaver and was a retired brakeman for the Norfolk and Western Railroad. Also preceding him in death were his wife, Jeanette Weaver, brothers, Frank, Isadore and Harlin Weaver and sisters, Dicey and Martha Weaver. Surviving are a son, John (Edie) Kallas, with whom he resided over two decades, a sister, Beulah Lemaster of Olive Hill, KY; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A graveside service was 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Peter Michael officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville.
