David Dellano Dunnagan, 73 died peacefully in his home on Saturday, October 15, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 7, 1949 in Madison, WV, he was a son of the late Willard and Arbutus Bocook Dunnagan and a retired natural resource specialist for Jackson Lake.
David graduated from Minford High School, was a retired truck driver and enjoyed his family.
A proud Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he received the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Also preceding him in death his sisters, Janet and Catherine Kay, brothers, Randy and Willard Lyn and a son-in-law, Will Rabon.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Mary Beth Hudspeth Dunnagan, children, Erin (Jamie) Coen, Catherine Rabon and Robert Dunnagan, his siblings, Charles Ray (Glenda) Dunnagan, Joyce Ann Silverman, Sheila Hutchins, Annette (Stu) Wildman and Kevin (Barb) Dunnagan and most importantly his grandchildren, Trinity, Noah, and Jasper.
A service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE.
A visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Memorial gifts may be made to Community Hospice.
The Flags on the Avenue, along with the U.S. Army flag, will fly in honor of proud David Dunnagan.
