Charles Wendell Roe, 72, of Hesperia, CA, formerly of Wheelersburg, died Sunday, August 19, 2012 at his residence. Born on August 21, 1939 in Wheelersburg, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Helen Thompson Roe, and was former owner/operator of C.R.O. Equipment, a trucking company. Chuck was also an Army veteran and a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Bloomington, Cal. Also preceding him in death were a sister, Wanda Coriell and a nephew, Jared Roe. Surviving are a son, Charles (Sabrina) Roe II, with whom he resided, two brothers, Kenny (Ruthie) Roe and Jerry (Jenny) Roe, all of Wheelersburg, three sisters, Trevelyn (Earl) Seibert and Carole (David) McFadden, all of Wheelersburg, and Sharon (Mark) Coburn of Maryland, a grandson, Brayden Roe, and was anxiously awaiting soon to be born grandson, Jared M. Roe. Also surviving him are several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILE with Pastor Steve Phipps officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors by the James Dickey Post of the American Legion. The family will be receiving friends at Brant’s in Sciotoville from 4 until 8 p.m. on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Disabled American Veterans.
