Carolyn "Susie" Bobst

d. March 12, 2015

Carolyn “Susie” Bussler Bobst, 60, of Lucasville, a loving and caring wife, mother, friend and highly respected employee of the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility, became an angel on Thursday, March 12, 2015.

Preceding her in death were her father, Frank Bussler, mother and stepfather, Milton and Marie Flake, a brother, Robert Bussler and a sister, Janet Wright.

Surviving are her loving husband, Fred Bobst, a son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Miranda Bobst, three grandchildren, Maya, Jayden and Chloe of Emory, TX; two sisters, Mary Maxwell of Fort Valley, GA and Betty Baldrich of Punta Gorda, Fla. and one brother, James Flake of Wheelersburg.

Carolyn Sue’s final request was to donate her body to the Ohio University for cancer research in the hope that others will benefit from her disease.  Because of her request and a sudden illness in the family, a private memorial service was held at the residence of her sister-in-law and best friend, Susan Bussler.

A public memorial service will be announced at a later date for Carolyn Sue’s friends, co-workers and relatives.

Memorial gifts can be made to the James Cancer Center and Solove Research Institute or SOMC Hospice.
