Carl McKinney

Carl E. McKinney, 72, of Sciotoville, died Saturday, December 8, 2018, at his home.  Born on January 15, 1946 in Prichard, WV, he was a son of the late William and Edna McGuire McKinney and was a retired saw operator for casting steel at Quality Castings with 20 years of service.

Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Dave, Charles and Max McKinney and a sister, Zella Sumpter.

Surviving are his wife, Tracey Gill McKinney, four sons, William (Lisa) McKinney, Robert (Melissa) McKinney and William “B.J.” McKinney, all of Sciotoville and Carl McKinney of Nebraska; two daughters, Jody (Harold) Burchett of Sciotoville and Debra (Michael) Mitchell of Wurtland, KY; a stepson, Tyler Anderson of West Portsmouth; a brother, James McKinney of Louisa, KY; a sister, Connie Sue Cooper of Sciotoville; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A gathering will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 16th, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Tera Gillem officiating.  A service will be held at 3:00 p.m. following the gathering.
